By registering for Polc, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

Polc is a vehicle security and recovery platform for incident and panic reporting, GPS at time of an incident, and coordination with security operations centres. It is designed for fleet managers, insurance brokers, and vehicle owners. We do not provide continuous background vehicle tracking.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
• Registration requests are subject to approval by our operations team.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Submit false or fraudulent incident reports
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the system
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
• Share your account credentials with others

5. Emergency Services

The platform includes panic and emergency features. Misuse of these features may result in immediate account termination and potential legal action. False reports that trigger emergency response may incur liability for response costs.

6. Data and Privacy

• Web registration collects name, email, phone, and company/broker details — not ID number or date of birth.
• Location is collected when you report an incident, not as ongoing travel history.
• Your data is processed under POPIA. See the full Privacy Policy.
• We do not sell your personal information. Data may be shared with emergency services or law enforcement when required.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service (software, interfaces, workflows, documentation, training materials, and branding) is jointly owned by Impact Elements (Pty) Ltd and Impact Elements. You may not copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or use platform materials to build a competing product. Full terms: Terms of Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

Polc provides security monitoring and response coordination services but does not guarantee prevention of vehicle theft, hijacking, or damage. Our liability is limited to the performance of our stated services.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting support.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
